My name is “Judy”. My user name is “JES”. I, of course, am new to the forum. I am most pleased to have become a member. I am so very glad that I found the forum!
I am a retired Master-level professional social work practitioner having worked in this profession for over thirty years. I had to retire due to developing Fibromyalgia and due to injuring my lower back. I live with constant or chronic pain. No doctor or specialist has been able to accurately determine the cause of my severe lower back pain. I have had several diagnoses. One idiot talked me into having a BI-LATERAL SACROILIAC JOINT FUSION back in May of 2013. I have had constant pain ever since and have had four specialists tell me that I never should have had the procedure.
I do not know if the excruciating pain that I have is being exacerbated from having Fibromyalgia. I, initially, was diagnosed as having Fibromyalgia in 2004 and again in 2006 and 2017.
I reside in Southwest Florida and have lived in this area since 1994.
I am hoping to be able to learn much more about Fibromyalgia from members of this forum! I may not be able to post or comment frequently; but, I will be visiting periodically.
I am looking forward to meeting other members and learning of their experiences and receiving suggestions. I hope to be able to reply to the posts of some members.
My family, by the way, cannot understand why I have so much pain and haven’t a clue about Fibromyalgia. I do not have children, I just have three brothers and all of their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They, literally, have abandoned me believing that my use of Klonopin is causing my pain and believing that I am an addict.
My current living situation is very stressful as I rent a room in a house where the two other occupants are indifferent, unfriendly, and have some serious personality issues. I hope to be relocating soon as these two occupants yell and scream at each other. One has A.D.H.D. and a Borderline Personality Disorder. The other has a vile temper, is paranoid, and suspicious. It is his home. He says very little to me unless he wants to complain about silly things or even accuse me of doing something that I have not done, e.g. he accused me of turning up the A/C! Incorrect! The female accuses me of hacking her cell phone and computer! Right! I haven’t a clue as to how to hack either.
Neither of the two occupants know that I have Fibromyalgia. They know that I have back pain but tell me that I should be living in an assisted living facility, (as if I could afford to do so). Their actions and behaviors stress me to the max. The stress that is created I believe contributes to my back pain and Fibromyalgia symptoms.
There you have it! …not such a pleasant “intro”!
Thank you for reading! Again, I look forward to meeting/communicating with other members!
Love to all!
