I have seen it advertised locally now and have wondered if it might be worth a try.
I don’t smoke, so the traditional form is not an option. And, in Kansas, all marijuana is illegal anyway and classed as a schedule I substance - meaning it “has a high potential for abuse and no recognized medical value.”
And you will be charged if you have any amount - even personal use amounts. The first time they catch you it is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $1,000 and/or up to six months in jail. Second time it is a class A misdemeanor with potential penalties of up to a year in jail and/or a fine up to $2,500. After that it is a level 5 drug felony punishable by up to 42 months in prison, and a fine of up to $100,000. As much as I would like to find something that works - it’s not worth that.
CBD products are federally legal in Kansas, but only under certain conditions. The crop used must be industrial and the end product can only be made using the seeds and stalks of the plant, not the flowers or leaves. They also must contain very low levels of THC.
So is this even worth the time and money to try? It’s the THC compound that makes it work isn’t it?
