What Is Multiple Chemical Sensitivity?

Multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) is the name given by some to a condition in which various symptoms reportedly appear after a person has been exposed to any of a wide range of chemicals. The exposure may occur as a major event, such as a chemical spill, or from long-term contact with low-levels of chemicals, such as in an office with poor ventilation. As a result of exposure, people with MCS develop sensitivity and have reactions to the chemicals even at levels most people can tolerate.

LOL last thing that woke me up was a dream about decomposing bodies, LOL woke me up and it was the left overs I threw away the night before, so I had to rug the trash out, before my coffee. OMG I wonder if I was dressed.

LOL I am the same way, when my kids were younger and was with the ex, I could smell, where they had been (like in a car) what they had for lunch at school, if they burped outside, if the ex drank a beer outside, I would yell out to them from inside the house to let them know and they started saying I should go work at the airport as a drug sniffing dog. Sometimes odors wake me up or keep me from sleeping. RRuff RRuff Bow Wow!

Hiya peeps, well this is a strange one, I must admit I have never heard of this at all, however, I am astonished that maybe something that I have lived with for many years may actually have a proper name.
I am always the one to say "can you smell.....?" A prime example is gas, no ladies not fart gas, or petrol gas, but UK fuel gas, I walked the same way, day after day and one day I said to my friend, "blimey can you smell that?" what? she asked, gas I said, nope was her answer, later that evening as we walked home there were police cordons, British Gas workmen, Ark lighting, the works, "You cant come this way ladies" said the policeman, "there is a major underground gas leak and we have had to evacuate all of the houses!"
They worked for the next 14 hours! ~I perhaps should have been a sniffer dog instead of a human, lol. Another time, I questioned my friend as I again smelled gas, she again did not smell it but encouraged me to ring the emergency line, again, a deep underground leak that could have 'blown' at any time.
I also seem extremely sensitive to certain perfumes and to B.O. (much to my teenage son's embarrasment), lol as I make him strip his clothes off and chuck them in the washing machine at the slightest niff! lol.
