I am back in the pool doing my water therapy, am avoiding foods that are not whole foods and pray about my pain. I guess i was looking for something new like exercises topical or natural fixes.

I also eat vegan and 50% raw! I think processed foods make my pain worse! If I ate a cake or a doughnut I was just a mess the following morning! I really think our foods have slot to do with our pain.

Lindy, I tried to go homeopathic/ Ayurvedic for Fibro and found the pain unbearable! So now I do both Eastern and Western ways!

Lindy500 I take Zyflamend and cook with a lot of onion, garlic and tumeric. These are all great for arthritis inflammation. I also am on Cymbalta and Lyrica. There are many foods to help with joint inflammation. I understand those of us should avoid nightshade veg. I still eat them though. I have adopted a more vegetarian lifestyle and that is helping.

Always check with your Dr first, and be aware of the precautions when using this as all supplements have side effects and long term warnings.

This is something I used off and on for years working on concrete floors all of my life.  What kind of arthritis do you have Lindy?

I am looking for non-drug therapies for an arthritic spine and fibromyalgia. Any words of wisdom out there?

Hi FMMama, I have great difficulty using steroids too.  Have been through the mill trying NSAIDS, Daypro is the best for me, BUT  have to eat something every single time you take that pill.

Are you taking a biologic at this point?  The great thing about these drugs, is that unlike the usual chemical drugs, these by pass the systems of the body where side effects usually occur.  They go straight to the area where they are needed right to the very cell.  They slow down the progression of the disease.  I take an Enbrel shot every week., has made a substantial difference in my life.  Better, not best!

Hope to hear from you again soon!

Wishing you well,

SK

This is for FMMamma have you heard of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome? You seem to have at least several of the symptoms so I wanted to make sure you had heard of it. I was just diagnosed with the hypermobility type of EDS even though I'm 47 and was born with it. EDS is a genetic connective tissue disorder that causes the body to make faulty collagen. The weak collagen can cause all kinds of symptoms and issues. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001468.htm
