Here are 2 wonderful ways to get books. The first one is a book trading group. If you are looking for a book, you list it, and if a person has it, they will send it to you! Then if you ever have a…Continue

For those of us who have ebook readers, kindle has an interesting set of freebies that fit our budget. My only problem is that I read too fast, and scarf up the best freebies too fast! :)

I have really found books on fibro & myofascial pain by Devin Starlanyl to be my staple reference.
Devin Starlanyl had posted online handouts to give to your dentist, doctor, etc. which were very helpful when I ran into one who "didn't get it".

I love anything by Phillipa Gregory. She writes historical fiction. She is a historian or some type of expert on the history of Royal families of Great Britian, France, etc....I am probably not doing her justice for her credentials. I have seen her on TV talking about history . I love to read about young women as they had to leave their family homes and be married to a stranger and become a princess and then queen of that country.....so dangerous to be on the throne....and it is so fascinating to read about those times....1500's -1800....king Henry the VIII and his six wives and Marie Antoinette Queen of France....I just finished the Constant Princess....there are lots of books. She wrote the Other Bolyn....was made into a movie....and the TV series the Tudors is based on that king of England, Henry the VIII...and Anne Bolyn...who he had beheaded....the Constant Princess is about his first wife that was married to his brother first.....and he was just a boy at the start of the book....very interesting...
Then if you like a like mystery and romance and some paranormal, the Sookie Stackhouse books by....oh boy....fibro moment...Charlene Harrison? and the Stephanie Plum Series is also mystery, romance and humor....by Janet Evanovich....These is my Words.....The Diary of Maddie Spencer.....two of my all time favorites....hope you find something good. Since I got the fibro, I have to have a really good book to stay focused....and i used to be such an avid reader....i get frustrated with myself....
Hi everyone! I'm new to the club and I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good books to read. I just finished my last one and I go crazy if I don't have something to read!

My church has started a library for the women. It's wonderful! I've read about half way through a series of some 20 books. They are easy, light and fun reads. Written by many different authors, these are stories that take place in US cities. Maiden, NC; Bridal Veil, OR; Holiday, FL; They are true to the location and the ones that are written in earlier generations are historically true. I'm enjoying about one a week, turn it in and get a new one. They are called "Love Finds You In..." Not really romance novels. It sounds like it, but they have a bit more substance. I just read a while at night.
Scribelle, I like the sound of your Lucia McHardy book. I might have to look for it.
Dee has mentioned a book on supplements. I would sure like to know what that is, I have forgotten.

I read several books at once - usually one fiction and one non-fiction.
My latest non-fiction read is: A Smaller, Richer Life: Using Illness as a Chance to Grow, by Lucia McHardy. Wow! I am reading it slowly as it is hitting on so many issues that I deal with, such as accepting daytime naps graciously instead of resisting that it is a need.
My latest fiction read is: The Outlaw Preacher, by John Andrews. Can you imagine a biker getting out of prison and sharing the Word in his type of world? Great read!
Comment by allergic on December 20, 2012 at 2:53pm "The Autoimmune Epidemic" by Donna Jackson Nakazawa. This is one book that was recommended by my doctor. 1 in 12 suffer from autoimmune disorder in US.
Talk of how to protect your immune system while exploring possible causes and potential cures for nearly 100 autoimmune diseases. It's very informative, no matter which disorder or disorders that you suffer from including cfs and fms.

Comment by Kiwimango on August 28, 2012 at 5:05pm What is the Untethered Soul about Jillian? :)
Oh Jillian, how awful if all your other support groups were bad people! I only ran into a few groups that had cruel leaders, and it was ironic because it was for patients who really needed some compassion. People were kicked out for the smallest, dumbest things. Then on the yahoo groups, usually 1 person is the group leader, and they had "it's my party and I'll do what I want here" mentality, and would block you from the group for any thought or personality trait they didn't like. I agree though. The moderators here are so very kind and patient and have lots of information, and I haven't run into an unlikeable perso here yet.
